Song of the day 3/24/10

What's up junkies?? Just can't get enough of the 80's?? Well I'm in the same boat, and even though I love music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 90's and the 00's now the 10's, I just can't stop heading back to the music that filled my days with sound when I was in high school, college and beyond. The song of the day is kind of a hard one to find these days. It's "see you on the other side" by Brian Briggs. From the grand ol' year of 1980. It details a story of two young men who play chicken with a train called the 3:05. I guess we'll never know the outcome as you're not sure if the the chorus is talking about seeing you on the other side of the tracks or the netherworld. Well do not fret I will have it on my player so you can listen to it and judge for yourself. Happy 80's hunting and if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to hear on my blog let me know. Wow, what a list of great songs. '83 was a great year for bands like Duran Duran, The Police, Cullture club...etc. But the ones that I still really like are the ones that didn't get the airplay that the big 80's bands got. Bands like Peter Godwin, Tim Scott, Ultravox, New Order, Lords of the New Church, Midnight Oil... You get the picture.
